Crypto New Media Decrypt Warns Against $Decrypt Token Airdrop Scam | EVM News

The Decrypt media team urged all the newsletter subscribers to delete any kind of Decrypt token airdrop email, to prohibit any kind of Crypto scam.

On 27 March 2024, The Decrypt team informed the Crypto community that the official newsletter account of the Decrypt website was exploited by an unknown bad actor(s).
That bad actor is now sending fake Decrypt token airdrop emails to Decrypt newsletter subscribers.
The Decrypt team urged all people to ignore & delete such airdrop emails and also don’t try to click any such links.

Popular crypto detective ZachXBT reported that the exploiter drained nearly $3k worth of crypto assets via this fake airdrop method.

Through a dedicated summary of this incident, the Decrypt team urged people not to trust any person representing himself from the Decrypt team.
According to the Decrypt team, scammers often pretend to be Decrypt on various platforms like email, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, and other social media platforms. They might try to sell tokens or promise interviews or news coverage. So be careful & always check if the contact is genuine, and if unsure, avoid interacting with them.

It is worth it to note that over the last couple of months, the crypto sector saw a sudden increment in the new crypto meme tokens, some crypto tokens showed market cap volume in billions.
Bad actors are using the meme token bull sentiments to easily steal investors’ trust.
In the last month, crypto detective ZachXBT reported multiple meme token projects where the token deployer raised very high amounts of money via pre-sale of the token but failed to inject all the raised funds into the token liquidity pool.
